Strategy & Branding for a Hamburg based Start-up.

The situation.
COLLIDE is a Hamburg-based Start-Up founded in 2020 that specialized in performance drinks. The founders invented a drink containing collagen and caffeine – which makes it an innovation in the beverage industry. The collagen boosts the body’s performance – especially in the long run. The brand launched in August of 2021 and also published an Onlineshop, selling their drinks and merchandise. COLLIDE can be purchased in various German supermarkets and in all Rossmann stores throughout Germany. COLLIDE requested further Corporate Design and marketing ideas for the brand and product.

The idea.
I took the can design as a basis to create the branding, but – to elevate the brand even more – I wanted to add further elements matching the brand’s purpose. A team of pro athletes as testimonials help spread the product’s advantages and the brand’s image. The narrative of all COLLIDE customers and followers becoming a part of Team COLLIDE, was implemented throughout building the brand.

The execution.
After defining and analyzing the target group and developing a strategy, I created primary and secondary logos. A brand guide containing guidelines was built to set rules for the use of fonts, colors, and visuals. Taking that as the foundation, various print, and digital media formats were designed.

Getting the product out there.

In order to make the brand and product more visible to potential customers, not only does the target group need to find the product, but the product also needs to find the target group. A great way to make sure, the brand is visible for potential customers, we placed branded mini-fridges of different sizes in gyms as well as at events.

Content strategy & creation.

The product catches people’s attention when there is an online reach. I refined the content strategy for COLLIDE’s Instagram and Facebook – also defining a certain posting strategy/ posting pattern. The aim was not only to get the followers informed about the product, but let them be inspired by pro athletes and motivated to make it to the next level. Of course, our brand ambassadors – overall named as the Team COLLIDE – play a big role in implementing that strategy.

COLLIDE’s Social Media also features raffles and collabs with other brands.
